Hoping for Joe....
Joe is #6. I had hoped for 7. I was happy to get 5. Joe is a rainbow baby & not the first rainbow baby of the family. Joe was not easy to get.

We found out about Joe on December 5th, 2017. We met 13 years and 363 days before this date. Finding out about Joe was slightly unexpected but very appreciated.

Joe fought to get here from day 1. I have PCOS & other medical complications. I needed progesterone to sustain him through the first trimester. By the second trimester, gestational diabetes was in full swing. I was super itchy & checked for the liver disfunction thing, it was okay. I was supersize and had extra fluid in all 4 quadrants of my uterus. My trigeminal neuralgia acted up at an ever increasing rate throughout the pregnancy. Blood sugars began to run too high despite metformin, had to switch to glyburide, but then they ran too low.

My blood pressure was a low 90/60 through 32 weeks. At 33 weeks I started to spike in pressure until it was consistently at or over 140/90 daily and I had gained 14 pounds in 3 weeks with severe edema in my feet, underbelly & face. At 36 weeks I began to get nauseous again & every 3rd day I could not keep anything down. I was dilated to 3cm & 50% at 35 weeks. Joe was consistently measuring large.
At 37 weeks after compiling all complications, it was determined it may be time to go ahead and induce.

July 26th, 2018 I showed up at labor & delivery at 1pm to have
"SJ" ...."something" Joseph at the Spearfish Regional Hospital Maternity wing...
